Christmas shopping gone Crazy!

First of all I want to thank all of you for the warm blogging welcome!
Now let me tell you the crazy thing I did last night or should I say first thing this morning!
I met three friends at the outlet center in Lake Elsinore Ca where I live.
It is about five minutes from my house.
The sale started at midnight.
I knew I was in trouble when off in the distance I could see a steady stream of headlights non ending.
It looked like the headlights coming to the field of dreams.
I was one of the last cars that got to park near a building entrance.
My friends were directed a football field away from the center.
But hey it was a sale right.
Well the second reality check came when I realized that they were only letting so many people in a store at a time. I waited thirty five minutes to get in Old Navy only to find out that the sale on Tuesday when there where no lines was better!
Next I was off to the Fox racing store where again I found no great buys!
Well I am going to jump ahead to the last of the five stores I went into which was bath and body store.
This was insanity.Men were buying gifts and not being able I guess to make decisions I saw guys with fifteen and twenty lotions in their net shopping bags.
I waited one hour and ten minutes to purchase one gift that was half price.
It was now three in the morning and my feet hurt my shoulders hurt and I needed coffee!
Gayle God bless kept saying how much fun we were having.
We Gayle's two daughter's and I were thinking she was delirious and also needed coffee or a slap, just kidding.
So I was the first one to bale as I wasn't pleased with two items and three hours of cattle like crowds.
I took Crystal home as she has a newborn and her milk had come in the first time she heard a kid cry so she was as happy as me to flee.
Interesting thing is that half the cars were gone at three am.
Will I do this next year,Gayle says I will because I would break tradition if I don't and that isn't nice.
Will see!

My Love of Aprons.

Why do I love aprons so much? Maybe because they represent time in the kitchen being creative and serving my family.
I often wonder what secrets they hold.
How many little tears did my aprons wipe off of little faces?
What holiday's did they prepare food for?
How many times did they dash out the door to get the mail?
What loving hands made them?
I have started a tradition around me.
I went to my Daughter's house the other day she is the Mom of four little boys and she had an apron on.
This may sound silly but I was so overwhelmed with joy,why you ask, because She has seen me wear mine for years and now she to is an apron wearer.
My sister Sherri searches antique stores for you guessed it aprons!
My neice Jamie is now an apron wearer.
If you want to purchase an apron and create your own memories check out Isabellas Closet on Etsy as she has wonderful aprons with a past!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and don't forget to wear your apron!
Hugs,
Anna

Where is Fall?

Here we are a week away from Thanksgiving and it was almost 90 degrees here today!
I want cool and more importantly RAIN!
Even my dog is confused about the current temperatures.
I can't picture putting my turkey in the oven if it is going to be like this next week.
However I have an attitude of gratitude so will just be thankful I can afford to put a turkey in the oven and enjoy it.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and say a special Blessing for the young men and women overseas who can't be home for the holidays.
Bless you all,
Anna
